john mason - managing consultant
Founder and managing director with over 25 years management and technical experience in middle and senior management roles within R&D, production, engineering and quality assurance.   John is a Fellow, registered Auditor and Certified Management System Consultant with the Quality Society of Australasia. He is the secretary and immediate past president Sydney Hills Business Chamber, chairperson Hills Schools Industry Partnership, immediate past chairperson of the Standards and Accreditation Committee for the Office of Community Housing, a member of Western Sydney Council NSW Business Chamber and chairperson of the Advisory Council of Global-Mark.
 
As a businessperson and consultant, John has achieved a significant track record in commercial growth and customer satisfaction. His main focus is sales and project management. The industries within which John specialises include; packaging, automotive, management consultants, law, stockists, textiles, construction, stationery, information technology, industrial cleaning, labour hire, manufacturers, remediation services, wholesalers and professional services.

elizabeth murphy

Elizabeth brings a practical approach to quality assurance, business management and training with experience as a supervisor and manager in production and quality assurance roles.  She was a valued consulting associate for many years and joined quality.com.au as an employee consultant in 2003.

Elizabeth is a Fellow of the Quality Society of Australasia and is registered as a Food Safety Auditor and Food Safety System Facilitator. She is also a SQF 2000CM Skilled HACCP Practitioner and has completed the Certificate IV in Workplace Training (Category 2) to compliment her Bachelor of Science in agriculture and her post graduate studies in Total Quality Management.  Elizabeth began her consulting career specialising in the food industry through the entire food chain including primary production, processing, warehousing, distribution, retail, and the food service sectors. She now has a successful track record in food safety, HACCP, ISO 9001 and auditor training. She has also developed and implemented many quality assurance systems with a focus on practical solutions with the full involvement of key members of the organisations with whom she has worked. The industries within which Liz specialises include; packaging, project management, facilities management, automation, stationery, wholesaling, food processing, food packaging and information technology.


stuart horstman
Stuart has 25 years industry experience, the last 15 of those consulting to a wide range of industries and organisations, including chemical manufacturing, telecommunications, automotive, oil & gas, contsruction, packaging, various professional services, as well as major utilities and public sector organisations.  He specialises in business performance improvement projects, including the implementation of Quality Management Systems, targeted process improvement and change management. He has also implemented both occupational health & safety and environmental systems.
 
Stuart has a long track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.  He has extensive experience in project management, coaching and mentoring, and promotes knowledge transfer to clients he works with.  Stuart taught TQM and Business Statistics for the Executive MBA Program at the Australian Graduate School of Management. He is a director of a successful international surf travel agency.  Stuart has Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management (UNSW) and a bachelor of Applied Science (Chemistry).  Stuart has been a Member and registered Auditor with the Quality Society of Australasia, the Australian Institute of Management and the Graduate Management Association of Australia.

arthur lill
Arthur’s career has been predominantly within the printing industry.  He has held positions such as proprietor, QA Manager, General Manager and Production Manager.  Through this experience he has received a vast commercial exposure and his particular strengths include quality management systems, sales, customer service, estimating, scheduling and operations management.
 
As a proprietor, Arthur realised the importance of work safety in a manufacturing environment and its impact on the efficiency and cost of WorkCover premiums to a business. He has been working with OH&S for the past 3 years and is now competent to administer and/or implement OH&S programs.  Arthur also puts his business acumen into his own consultancy specialising in Quality Management Systems with a focus on integrating existing OH&S responsibilities into one system to minimise the duplication of resources.  With considerable experience in the printing and packaging industries Arthur has diversified his portfolio, which now includes, aerosol can manufacture, sink manufacture, smash repair, hydraulic services, building, and building maintenance industries.  He is a valued consulting associate with quality.com.au's full support and is excellent in ongoing support roles.

phillip cranney

Phil has acquired broad experience across many industries and markets over the last 12 years, including IT, Medical Devices, Manufacturing, Retail, Warehouse and transport with a speciality in construction.  A lead auditor in Quality management systems and a business improvement grade auditor in OHS Management Systems, Phil is also trained and experience in Environmental Management Systems Auditing and implementation.

Having been both a contract auditor and senior manager responsible for implementation and accreditation Phil is a genuine practitioner as well as advisor and auditor.  With a Trade background and a Masters degree in business administration (MBA) Phil is also unique in his practical, yet rigorously logical and analytical approach to management system solutions and risk management.  Phil has been an appointed Federal Safety Officer since 2005, auditing OHS systems and performance for many of Australia’s ‘major construction contractors, as part of the Federal Governments’ OHS Accreditation Scheme run by the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner.

ralph davies

Ralph has an Honours Degree in Applied Physics and has had extensive experience across a diverse range of technologies and industries including; Defence, Communications, Medical, Manufacturing, Electronics, Standards, Intellectual Property, Architecture, Building and Construction.

Ralph has held senior management positions in large, medium and small enterprises including; Project Management, Technical Management, Research & Development, Product Design & Development, and International Technology Transfer.  A variety of QA Management positions, experience as a senior certification auditor and QA Consulting, have given Ralph extensive exposure to a large number of management systems. He now specialises in ISO 9001 management system; implementation, integration, maintenance and improvement. His advanced skills in Microsoft Office VBA programming, his management and auditing experience, continues to give added value to systems he implements and maintains.

john finneran
John has many years experience in various industries – most recently in the Occupational Health & Safety Industry where John has assisted hundreds of Organisations to meet their OH&S obligations. Prior to that, John worked in the Industrial Supplies Industry and before that John spent 12 highly successful years as a Business Coach becoming Senior Corporate Business Coach, facilitating and implementing, Strategic, Operational and Performance Management Plans, as well as conducting Executive Coaching. John helped over 100 businesses, big and small, Government Departments, Private Companies etc. He had responsibility for the training of new Business Coaches to the highest levels of professionalism in that industry. John went into Business Coaching after turning around a large Transport Company and a Security firm.

John is a qualified Lead Auditor, has a Bachelor of Business Degree and qualifications in HR, Occupational Health and Safety and IT. His experiences, introducing a QA System for the second largest Industrial Supply Company on the East Coast, inspired him to bring his enthusiasm and considerable expertise to this industry, where he has helped many clients successfully achieve/maintain their Quality Certification.

Jane Eva

For the past 22 years Jane Eva has worked primarily within the Optical Industry. She has extensive Retail Management experience and has a firm grasp on the concept of the ultimate customer journey and providing quality products and service to the consumer. Within her roles she has encountered and managed teams of staff, stock control, purchasing, scheduling, payroll and delivery of quality products. She is very familiar with the concepts of KPI’s and performance appraisals.

Jane also has a vast knowledge of the construction industry having been the office manager for her family’s residential building firm. This role familiarized her with Estimation, material ordering and OHS Management.

Jane has been employed as a NSW TAFE teacher at the Ultimo Campus, successfully mentoring students to achieve in their chosen vocation.

Recently she has joined a local consultancy firm and has gained invaluable experience in internal auditing across many industries such as Medical, Dental and Machinery Importers/Exporters. She has a Diploma in Quality Auditing attained from the Investment Banking Institute, which qualifies her as a Lead Auditor and she plans to extend this knowledge in the near future to include Risk Management, OHS and Environmental Management.
